InFlight 200 1:200 Scale Metal Die-Cast - Boeing 727-200 – Length: 9.06" Wingspan: 6.5”
This model represents the Braniff International Airlines 727-200 registration N8859E, as it appeared in 1991 wearing the Red Ultra livery. The aircraft this model represents was damaged by Hurricane Andrew, which hit Miami Airport in 1992, and it never flew again due to a combination of the damage and Braniff's third and final failure. The InFilght 200 production release of this model is May 2007, with 576 pieces produced worldwide.
Braniff International Airlines (Braniff III) was the second attempt to resurrect the Braniff name after the original Braniff had ended operations in 1982. The airline started operations in 1991 and used a fleet of ten 727s painted in the "Ultra" Scheme and 1965 "BI logotype." Regrettably, Braniff III only lasted a little over a year and ceased operations in 1992."
